Zahi Khouri: Founder of Palestinian National Beverage Company
Palestine
Zahi Khouri and his family escaped the war of 1948 in Palestine. After the signing of the Oslo Accords, he and a group of diaspora business leaders took on the challenge of rebuilding Palestine’s economy. After raising funds, he returned and established Padico Holding and the Paltel telecommunications company. In 1995 he started the Palestinian National Beverage Company, which produces and sells Coca-Cola products in the West Bank and Gaza Strip. Khouri now funds the Zahi Khouri Fellowship Program, providing Palestinian-American students the experience of professional development in Palestine in the fields of education, youth and women’s empowerment, and economic development.
